My son's invite to share his calendar doesn't reach me

My son has created an iCloud calendar that he tries to share with me but his invite to share never reaches me. We tried sharing from his iPad, from his Mac and finally we logged into iCloud.com to see if it would work from there but then we get a message that says (translated from Swedish) that "due to account maintenance the calendar is unavailable for a few hours". It's been saying that for days now.

His account har parental control restrictions on it I might add.

Thanks for any help!

"I have this question too."

Same situation (parental controls / family sharing), the invite is never received from two of our children's accounts (but on the third.... yes). They are all set-up with similar settings. We can share a public hyperlink (on the non-receiving calendars) , but cannot "edit" or add events to those like we can with the other.

This functionality worked previously, but stopped after upgrading to 'Mojave'. It also doesn't work when using 'Catalina'.
