Just bought my iphone pro max last week, i dont really do selfies or video calls but when my friend tried it there it was. A black vertical line in the middle of the screen. Went to the AU shop to exchange it but no, they referred me to an apple shop. I hope they can fix this.

If au sent you away, they couldn't see anything on your screen that might be causing your problem. I recommend that you click on the "Contact Support" link at the top right corner of this screen. Follow the links for hardware trouble and you will be guided to an Apple Store or BIC Camera Apple Service desk near you. You can't make an appointment online more than a week in advance, so you may need to take your chances by simply walking in. That happened to me both times, and both times BIC Camera took me in after just a few minutes of waiting.

Nothing, they checked it @au. They told me to go to the apple store or visit the umeda au branch. I’ll do both. Thank you.
Thanks so much for replying, ill try BIC too. AU told me to go to apple Namba or AU Umeda. I work full time so it’s really mendokusai.
