lightroom wont even open now i have upgraded to Catalina. Help!

Boot into Safe Mode (How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support) by booting with the Shift key held down and check there to see if the problem persists.  Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 10 minutes as it's doing the following; 

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts 

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

What version of Lightroom are you running.

Before you upgraded were you aware that Catalina would not run 32bit apps,

or apps with 32bit elements. And if you did know about this change what did you

do to prepare yourself.

Run this app, https://www.stclairsoft.com/Go64/ it will list all apps

that are 32bit, you then need to contact the developer to see if they

are providing 64bit updates, some may be free some may be paid.

Lightroom Classis CC is 64bit --- has anyone else had success? I have dozens of photoshoots I need to edit and i'm losing my mind! I even bought an entirely NEW Macbook Pro thinking it was the computer's issue- nope. Have spent probably 18 hours trying to fix LR CC
