This is my first time trying to use this SD slot and I cannot seem to load a SD card.
I have tried several times and positioned it correctly, but nothing happens.
It doesn't feel that it is accepting it, no clicks, nothing.
I have tried two different cards with no response.
I have read Apple's help but still can't figure it out.
I need help.

You might be inserting it wrong side up, a common problem.
It was the cards. I took the card from my car and was able to load it to my pc.

You slide the card all the way (you will feel it seat) and then look in Finder (a Finder window must be open) and you should see it under Locations on the left sidebar.
I tried loading these SD cards to my Mac laptop and getting the same thing, so it could be my cards.
It could be the card or how it is supposed to be formatted. Have you attempted another card?
I called Apple support and after running several tests, they setup an appointment for me to see a service provider.
Thank you for your help. At least I am able to see all of my external disks now, but not the SD card.
Is there a special SD card that Apple works with or is any SD card ok?
I cannot feel it seated. I opened up Finder first and slide the card in with nothing under locations.
I did run diagnostics showing no issues found with a return code: APP000.
No special cards are needed however please tell us what the use if for it, for example most users put a card inside the digital camera, is that your application?
