I lost the ability to open links to tweets in the native twitter app.

I recently updated to iOS 13.7 on my iPhone SE. Since then, links to tweets (via email or iMessage, for example) will not open in the twitter app. It looks like there was a thread on this topic last year, but a solution was never offered in the thread (other than basically purging everything on the phone and starting over again).
