I’ve followed the steps yesterday and today and the AirPods are not showing up on my iPhone 11 Pro Max nor my iPad Pro? Not sure what the problem is?

I’ve followed the steps noted to sync my AirPods with my iPhone 11 Pro Max and my iPad Pro and I am unable to get them to sync on either device.
