Can’t receive emails after iCloud storage became full and upgraded

Okay, so recently I left my family. And now some time later I got an email that my iCloud storage became full, and I no longer could receive emails. So I looked in to it and rightfully it was completely filled up so I purchased the 50gb storage, and a few minutes later I now had 50gb of storage and the money had been drawn from my bank. But a little more than a week later, I noticed that I haven’t received any emails. And I still haven’t. So if anyone has a explanation I would be very grateful.

Have you tried simply rebooting the device (turn it off, then back on and let it reconnect to the internet and iCloud)? Or just signing out of your iCloud account if the device, then signing back in? Or actually, first just go into your iCloud settings and turn off the slider for mail off, then re-enable it.

Any if those might reset your iCloud mail account to see the extra storage and restart sending/receiving emails.
