Car Music Auto Play Turn Off/Switch?

will this prevent it to start playing when you play a pod cast or sound from youtube, because this itunes just start playing when i want to listen to other things too

good point and it’s exactly what everyone is experiencing, they need to have a itunes shutoff override, or multiple switches like prompt before play, off completely or auto play

We want a simple switch to turn off autoplay!

I have ios 14 my cars radio do have a way to shutoff autoplay can you and a way to turn it off the I phones it is very annoying

I don’t know what you mean by this.

It doesn't matter how common the complain is. The fact is that would violate the bluetooth standard and it is not a feature of the iPhone.

If you don't like it, go buy something else.

Whining about it here is not going to accomplish anything. You are not talking to Apple. All you're doing is wasting electrons.

********. It is not controlled by the head unit of the car ... it happens with many many cars .. it also happens when Bluetooth earbuds or headphones connect. Is it a problem with the “head unit” of the headphones too????

.. this is an ongoing complaint in many many forums .. this needs to be addressed by Apple.

I drive a 2015 ram, my software has not updated in vehicle in years, BUT during the previous two iphone updates my iphone started auto playing itunes in my vehicle.

i also remember there used to be a setting in the phone to turn off itunes autoplay. Maybe it was in itunes maybe it was in the phone but there was a setting for sure and i am 90% sure it was called car play.

So for now i have deleted itunes and will not use its services again until there is a fix for this.

We all understand that's what you want, but you're just wasting electrons coming here and ranting about it.

That is not relevant at all to the topic of this thread.

There is no "autoplay" feature on the phone. The phone is simply responding to commands received from the bluetooth head unit in the car.

Go complain to the manufacturer of your car.
