When an incoming call comes in Tony iPhone 7 while I have my earbuds paired (and working), the phone disconnects from the Bluetooth, and I have to reconnect them. I saw a solution for setting Accessibility to Bluetooth, but why doesn’t the “Automatic” setting work?

Check to see if you have an Accessibility setting enabled or not. Tap Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Call Audio Routing. if it is set to Automatic, tap Bluetooth Headset. Then test it and see if this resolves the issue. If not you may need to contact Apple Support for additional assistance.

Thank you, but interference isn’t the issue. I can be listening to music from my iPhone on my earphones for hours, but when I answer a call, the phone disconnects from the ear buds. When the call ends, it reconnects to play music.
Thank you, I’ll try that. It seems counterintuitive to me that “automatic” wouldn’t automatically put the call on my BlueTooth headphones, especially since in my case, the BlueTooth headphones were already connected and in use for music. I don’t recall having this problem until recently. But I’ll try it.
