Skype has replaced FaceTime on my Mac (Catalina 10.15.6 and Skype 8.64.0.80

Skype is now trying to place calls that used to go via FaceTime. When dialing from Address Book, or Messages, instead of opening FaceTime to dial via my cell phone account, it opens Skype and tries to dial out on Skype.

Skype just upgraded.

FaceTime not ringing on Mac after Big Sur update Since updating to Big Sur last week, incoming FaceTime calls no longer ring my 2019 Retina 5K 27-inch iMac. My iPhone, iPad (iOS and iPadOS 14.2), and MacBook Pro (High Sierra) all ring and I can answer the call on any of them, but on my iMac I see no indication about an incoming call. facetime calls Hello everyone, Ever since i upgraded to the Ventura system on my mac, i have had a recurring facetime problem. If i have an incoming facetime call, it will ring on my mac but the picture/pick up button does not appear. I also cannot open the facetime app. However, it does ring normally on my phone and i am able to answer. Once i answer, i then have to transfer the call to my mac. it's cumbersome to say the least. What am i doing wrong?

Facetime not Functioning Macbook Air M1 I am running Big Sur 11.6 on my macbook air M1. Ever since I bought my computer (a few months ago) facetime has never worked properly. I can search my entire contacts list, and it allows to me to make an audio call, but I cannot make a video call. In addition, whenever I receive a facetime call it shows up on my phone, but not on my computer. I never had this issue with my old Mac. I have signed in and out of my Apple ID multiple times, and it is the same Apple ID. Any advice? Thank you!

Looks like I solved my problem. Something changed my FaceTime setting to Skype as default when Skype was installed/upgraded.
