how can I ask Siri a follow up question after it does my initial request? With Amazon Alexa it has follow up mode. Does Siri have something similar?

You keep asking questions, one after the other without closing the conversation. You do not have to say "Hey Siri" or press the Home button, again and again, just tap the image as shown below to continue the conversation.
