My headphones stopped working on my iPhone 8 Plus and when I plug them in my phone doesn’t recognize it. It’s doesn’t even pop up when I check Airplay with my headphones in. I cleaned out my port and restarted my phone a couple times and I’m not sure if this is a port issue cause my charger still works fine when I charge it. So I don’t know what the issue is.

Turns out the problem was just with my headphones. So you might just need to get a new pair. If you have any other apple products such as an iPad, or a friend/ family who has an iPhone you can try your headphones on them before buying new ones to be sure the problem is just with your headphones. If you have a friend with an iPhone try your headphones on their phone. If they work it is your phone, if the don’t it is the headphones.
Thank you for responding but I’ve tried all of those steps and it still doesn’t connect.It doesn’t even show up on Airplay, I just want to know if this is a hardware issue and what to do to fix it. Please and thank you
Yeah I know but I’m currently unable to try that step out since I’m unable to meet with any of my friends at this time and my family aren’t IPhone users. But I failed to mention that I’m ordering another pair of headphones to test it out and see if they work. Thank you for pointing that out.
Did it help? I’m having the same issue but on my iPhone 8, once it played (I left it upstairs plugged in my phone but then when I go back and play some music it plays out loud and not on my headphones so idk what’s going on plus it charges fine without any troubles so Idk what to do)
