If you usually charge the battery, then unplug it, and use on battery power, it would be expected.

If you are near an AC outlet, use it While connected to the charging circuit.

If you need portability, use it on battery power.

Correct. It is perfectly fine to leave it connected and preferable after the battery reaches 100%.
