iMac running extremely slowly all of a sudden and giving me a message that Adobe Creative Cloud needs to be repaired

I was away for two weeks and shut down my iMac and unplugged it. Everything was working just fine before I left. Now it is running extremely slowly -- I can hardly do anything as it take minutes of waiting for the beach ball to stop spinning. I am getting an error message that pops up saying that Adobe Creative Cloud is needed to resolve this problem. However, it is missing or damaged. Please download and install a new copy of the Creative Cloud. Then it gives me the option to Quit or Repair. I chose Repair and it downloaded and installed as far as I can tell, but I'm still getting this message. When I try to uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud it tells me it can't because I have Adobe CC apps installed. When I try to uninstall those Apps (Lightroom and PS) it tells me that it needs to run Adobe CC to uninstall and it needs to be Repaired. I've tried running Disk Utility FIrst Aid -- no issues there. I have a 1T disk that is only have full, and 16 GB memory. I have nothing running. I have restarted several times and have the issue in both of the user logons.

Does anyone have an ideas? I can't use the machine at all with it running this way. It literally took 2 minutes to bring up the About my machine page to get this info:

Here are the specs for my machine:

Mac OS Cataling v. 10.15.6

iMac (21 inch, late 2012)

Processor 2.9 GHz Quad - Core INtel Core i5

Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Start-up disk - Macintosh HD

You can save you and us a lot of time and effort of playing 20 questions if you do the following:

Please navigate to the Mac App Store or navigate to www.Etrecheck.com and download the free version of EtreCheck. Once you have you downloaded the app and installed it, please run the report and save it. This report will help us get a good idea what has been installed on your system and help us be able to diagnose what may be wrong.

When you have your report, you can attach it when you reply to this message and we can then review it and help you determine what is needed to get your system running well again.

Please restart the computer in the Recovery Partition (Command + R on startup) and then open Disk Utility and run First Aide several times on the HD. If the drive shows ANY errors then it's garbage and MUST be replaced. As long as you have been backing up the computer this is only a minor inconvenience. NOTE: Even if First Aide does not find errors (its not the best tool) your HD could still be at risk. At this point I would strongly recommend taking the computer to your local Apple Authorized Service Provider to be professionally diagnosed and repaired. If your computer has a hard disk or any type (including a Fusion Drive) replace it with a SSD.
