iTunes Windows v12.10.9.3 error 4000 for iOS 14

Trying to update to iOS 14 with this version but both my iPad Air 3rd gen & my iPhone 11 Pro keep throwing error 4000 after extracting the file. My searching says that I need the "latest version of iTunes" but I have the latest version.

Anyone running into this?

Windows, Windows 10

So after many attempts I found something that worked.

I temporarily disabled / removed my passcode to unlock my device, and disabled auto lock. I had to put in my Apple ID password to do so. I didn’t have to disable face id.

hopefully this works for others. Good luck!

after the update it prompted me to create a passcode.
