Well yes, I eventually added them to my favourites. But that's not my point is it?
Apple (in my opinion) should have placed them there automatically following the upgrade. It most definitely should not have removed them and forced me to rummage around in a .plist file to look for the URLs for something I had saved. Equally, if it wanted to force a new look to the browser upon us, I think it should have been polite enough to offer a return to the "old" way of thinking, if only to allow some time for me to migrate things over as Apple didn't see fit to do that for me.
Earlier this week my beloved iMac crashed and it took me well over a week to resurrect it. I came close to ditching it for a Windows 10 machine as I have a lot of software that is 32bit only and can't be run in Catalina (or Big Sur) meaning I'm stuck with Mojave. I still use iPhoto as the way it sorts the photos suits my way of thinking much better than Photos (or whatever replaced iPhoto is called). Sadly as the iPhone and iPod become more popular, macOS appears to be aligning itself more and more with iOS. I don't care for iOS at all and am worried by the direction macOS is heading. I stopped using Windows back in 2005 as I got fed up with Microsoft telling me how I should do things and what programs I should use. It now seems that macOS is doing a similar thing and I no longer enjoy using the OS as I used to. That Windows PC could be delivered sooner rather than later.
