Two AirPods attached to Apple TV 4 K
Two pairs of Air Pods attached to Apple TV 4K. Can volume be adjusted independently for each pair? I cannot see any place to do this.

You can change the individual volume levels of the AirPods by holding down the TV button on the Siri Remote and then click the AirPlay button. Then if you highlight the AirPods in the list you want to adjust, you can then use the volume buttons on the Siri Remote and it will only change the volume for the selected AirPods.

To connect the second set, push and hold the TV button (top right), a menu will come up showing all head phones, then select the set that doesn't have a checkmark by it. This is also where you to set the volume for each set individually. Then the master volume will control both.

I'm assuming you have upgraded to TV OS 14 which allows connecting 2 pairs of AirPods or AirPods Pro to an Apple TV. I can get them both to pair but when it comes to listening to sound only 1 pair works. What I am missing? Both pairs of AirPods Pro have the most up-to-date firmware and the Apple TV 4K is on TV OS 14.
I’ve followed this advice and I always get a message that I can’t pair more than one Bluetooth device. I’m running tvOS 14.2 and have the latest firmware on all my Apple headphones: AirPods Pro, AirPods and PowerBeats Pro
Any suggestions? Thanks!
I see our 2 AirPods Pro and can select them. However they will not simultaneously connect where we both listen together. However, whoever connects last is the only one that can hear. I would to have them both connect simultaneously. Help!
Thanks for your response because I was about to give up. We have the latest software on the Apple TV box (tvOS14.2) and tried all of the instructions listed in previous posts. Maybe you can explain how to get both AirPods to stay connected when using the the function on the TV Select button. We can only get one or the other to stay connected.
Thanks for the email explaination and everything seems toward until I get to the last instruction. I do not see a Share Audio button to pair the second pair of Air Pods. It only allows me to chose one pair or the other pair.
Turns out that it only works on the AppleTV 4K and I had the HD version. Didn’t even realize because they look identical. Apple didn’t do a great job mentioning that. Probably what’s going on with your situation.
I have exactly the same problem!! Apple tv 4k, tvOS 14 and some and airpods pro and beats studio 3. I can easily connect both to my iphone and listen to music simultaneously on both headphones, but on my apple tv I can connect both, but I only hear soumd on the last one I’ve connected! This is not supposed to happen (according to multiple posts on this forum that i have read). Can someone explain this and tell me where the problem might be?
Both pairs are showing as ticked in audio output settings I assume?
I have the same problem. Both sets are selected as above. One has extremely low volume. The volume control only works on one set.
Thanks very much... I'll give it a try.
