Where is the “Up Next” widget in iOS 14?

What happened to the “Up Next” widget in iOS 14?!

This widget was utilized to see your next alarm and whatever calendar event or reminder was up next, regardless of how many days the reminder was scheduled in the future.

No, that’s not the Up Next widget.

The large calendar widget still only shows what’s next in Calendar only.

The Up Next widget would combine what was next in Calendar, Reminders and Alarm.

I agree, I have completed the suggestion form. I hope everyone here does too!

You must not have ADD.... I check and recheck and I have no less than 10 alarms set to remind me of things like getting my kids off the bus, my son has alarms set for the start of each one of his remote classes. It’s not easy being one missed alarm away from disaster.

  • This has been a behind the scenes look at someone with ADD trying to seem like they have **** together to the neurotypical world. 😁

I am very disappointed. I was looking forward to new widget feature. Especially calendar with all events, tasks. With ability to change fonts and appearance. But this looks like a joke. After 14 version of developing, this is the result? Please add options to add widget from lock screen to home screen. Or why it is not possible to set widget lock screen as default ( not needed to swipe left). I am one step to go back to Android.

Up next is still there but only showing on the largest calendar widget. Even on my 8 Plus that takes up over half the screen! It would be great if they could make up next appear regardless of the widget size. I've filled in a feedback form with the 'suggestion'.

If more people could do that maybe they'll take notice. Glad it's not just me who finds that feature important.

There is a less than perfect way of confirming your next alarm until Apple or someone else bring back this widget:

Hold down your home/side button to activate Siri and say "next alarm". It will show & tell you how many alarms you have set and the day & time of the next one.

Obviously not ideal if you don't want to wake someone who is sleeping nearby, but it may help some people.

@tw273 No, it does not show your next Alarm, it only shows your next Sleep/Wake time (formerly called Bedtime), which are two different functions. The Alarm function everyone here is talking about is one part of the Clock app and has nothing to do with the Sleep/Wake times.

The Alarm function of the Clock app allows one to set multiple alarms throughout the day and gives the user the ability to set a unique label for each one (such as "feed the cat," "take your next pill," etc). They can be set for certain days of the week only, every day, or one time only.

It was in an indispensable function of the "Up Next" widget (and still is for those wise enough not to upgrade to iOS 14 yet). Removing it is a step backwards. Apple needs to fix it. Now.

Where does it show it? The Sleep/Wake thing is good for sleeping but there are many other reasons for alarms so only something like the Up Next widget will show the next alarm, as well as showing you the next event in your calendar so you can easily see if you missed setting an alarm for something.
