iOS 14 dual SIM

I used to be able to assign a default line to each contact. I used to be able to choose which line to use when manually dialing a number. Both features are missing from iOS 14. What gives?

In our country , most of the time u will need to change the SIM used for calling the same person before each call , and every time i need to change sim used for calling this person i must go through some steps before every call the Q is :- how to make iPhone ask me which line i will use just before calling any selected contact this featur is well known in android phones but not in iOS, this is really uncomfortable . IN OTHER WORDS :- when i set which line to be a default inside setting icon in daul sim iPhone, Please add third option that is ( undetermined ) so that the iphone ask which line i use before every call is that a possible? sincerely

Does anyone have problems on a dual sim, when creating a new contact and choosing a specific default phone number and it not saving properly? I have dual sims on my iPhone. Both are AT&T. But I am having issues when creating a contact from a phone number that’s called. When I create the contact, I choose to make my business line to be “always use” and I save the contact. But I will go right back into the contact after I’ve copied the email address or street address to paste into the record and I will check the default number and it will still be “last used” instead of “always use”.

Dual Sim selector Hi, I have bought my first iphone and I configured it to use it as a dual sim. I have more than 1000 contacts and it's absolutely crazy to define a default number to use to make calls, because amoung my contacts I would say that 50% are personal and 50% are for work. As I cannot check all the contacts and define which number use for each of them, I am asking if there is an app available in the app store that works as a "sim selector". Everytime I make a call, I would like to have to green buttons (one for sim 1 and one for sim 2) and decide everytime which sim I should use). I know that iphone allows to change this settings in the menu, but it's crazy to go to check there everytime. Thank you.

Nevermind. After my first call came through all the features reappeared. Very weird, definitely a bug.

Also, it no longer shows which line was used in the recent calls list.

I can't see what line I am using on each text. I also can not choose what line to use when I text someone. Have you found where this feature is at?

Touch the contact name at the top and then go to info. It says which line you’re using there.

The only way I’ve found to switch lines is to delete the conversation and start a new one. There’s a bubble before you send the message saying which line you’re using, touch it and you can switch.
