After updating both my iphone and apple watch 5, the watch face gallery is completely blank. I’ve turned off both devices, but the face gallery remains blank, no faces are showing
Any ideas how to get them back ?

I would try unpairing your watch from your iPhone then pairing it back setting it up as new.
Before pairing it back I would delete the watch app and hard reset the iPhone first
i followed your advice, but unfortunately it didn’t work
I’m experiencing this same issue. Just restored my phone to new and didn’t restore from backup. Half the watch faces are blank in the gallery
just a couple of faces display now
Hard reboot fixed it. Volume up, volume down, hold the side button until it reboots (iPhone 11 pro max)
My phone called 911 instead of rebooting, verify settings. Shutdown and powered back on did not resolve the issue.
