Activity GPS issues after watchOS 7 and iOS 14 updates

Exactly the same for me with my Apple Watch 5 & IPhone 8 Plus. All route data from previous workouts has disappeared & the workouts from the last 2 days are only showing a starting point on the map

Same problem here; My watch is recording my cycle rides but the data is no longer transferring to the fitness app on my iPhone 7+since updating to iOS 14.

Everything worked fine before the update.

I should have expected this and waited a while before updating as I have always experienced problems with Apple software updates.

I have turned off both the watch and phone but restarts have not solved the problem as yet.

At the time of writing this I see 360 ‘me too’. I just had the same issue using iPhone 8-os14 with AW5 os7. All other data was there, but no recorded route witch means I won’t get credit for over 3700 feet of cycling / climbing in the Sept. Strava climbing challenge! This sucks!! I deem those feet/meters!! 😩

Adding my voice this — went for a run this morning and there is no location data associated with the activity. Looking back at all my past activities, it's missing from them too. Hoping for a fix soon.

Same here. Worked fine in the morning until afternoon for me. I take the bike everyday to work and I also keeping the track every day by Strava - and now saying no route recorded...

Hope they solve this issue a s a p. Frustrating.

Exact same problem. Since the update on IOS7 for Apple Watch, my workout runs and walks are not showing maps.

I've checked location services for both devices and reset fitness tracking off and on before restarting both the watch and phone but still no joy.

Very interested in this topic as well as I have the same problem since I have done the update yesterday. Tried to unpair/pair (from backup as well as from new device) but so far nothing changed. Very disappointing! Hope a solution will be found very soon!

Exact same experience, plus all of the routes for activities dating back years have disappeared! This is a tragedy from my perspective. Those routes are some of my most prized data, covering hikes and runs all over North America. If a fix from Apple doesn’t bring those back I’ll be devastated!

My Apple activity app and Apple Health app are no longer in sync. The activity app is accurately recording data, but the Health app isn't receiving all of it, i.e. fewer steps, no cycling data transferred, etc.

I have iphone 11 and apple watch 5. It worked fine the first two days. Today, it the activity app just says loading. During my walk it kept crashing. Now the app has crashed. I still have old data.

Also the recorded steps from my apple watch are different to the fitness/activity app reading.

I have manually tried adding in the differences over the last few days but it does not record the additional inputted data.

Tried all the settings on both devices but cannot resolve the steps issue.

I have noticed that active kcal and resting kcal also don’t calculate. Active kcal doesn’t even agree to move kcal. I unpaired, paired and did all the suggestions, still doesn’t work as before. It is frustrating as ****. I use different apps, e.g. sleep watch, also stopped receiving data and myfitnesspal stopped receiving workouts from the watch. I see the workout on the watch, but nothing in the iphone fitness app. I have an iphone x on ios 14 and watch series 5 on watch os 7.

I can’t afford to reset everything. Have too many years data invested in Health app to go nuclear! This is the first major issue I’ve had with Activity/Fitness app over years of use so hopefully an obvious problem.

Anyone had a chance to test in iOS 14.2 Public Beta?

I have the same issue. Using an iPhone 11 pro and a series 4. all my route info its gone. i have also notice terrible battery life in all my iOS 14 and watchOS 7 devices. bad upgrade and i wish they came out with a fix already.
