Is there any way to return to the calendar format prior to the latest update?

Be specific about what you like and what you don't; if you just say it's "horrible" or a "nightmare" that's not constructive and so nothing can be done with that.

Say what you would like it to look like or how you want it to operate.

No one here can do anything about it.

As Apple is not going to switch back, your options are to learn how to use the new format (it isn’t that hard, and in many respects is faster and easier to use than the really terrible spinning slot machine dials in the old format) or to get one of the many 3rd party calendar apps available from the app store that still work the “old” way.

Meanwhile, there are hundreds, maybe even thousands of other calendar apps available in the App Store. I personally have been using Fantastical for years and like it very much.

Apple rarely does that; they tend to make a change then stick with it.

Still, once again, don't complain here, it does nothing.

I haven’t posted a single link on this thread other than maybe the feedback link so I have no idea what you’re talking about.

And I do know what I’m talking about. The answer is that you can’t revert back to the old style. Your only option is to send feedback to Apple. There’s no other answer. People can complain on this thread all they want but it doesn’t do one bit of good until they send feedback.

Oh, and my avatar is a stormtrooper because I like Star Wars.

You are not forced to do anything, except to realize that you cannot change the current calendar if you wish to say you are forced to do something. You can provide feedback to Apple, and you can search for another calendar app if you wish. Those are just options you are provided. The only thing you can't do is downgrade to a previous iOS, or change the current calendar.

Obviously, you haven't bothered to read this thread, in which your question has been answered again and again.

No, there isn't.

It also isn't horrible for everyone, I quite like the new format.

There are also a number of third party calendar apps you may find work better for you.

As has been posted many times in this thread there’s no way to go back to the way it was previously. You don’t have to switch platforms, just download a different calendar app from the App Store.

Even though you can’t revert to the old one, you can use the new one in a way that, once you get used to it, does work. You simply type the whole time in on your keypad and it works. You don’t have to scroll. I hope this helps. Sue

Google has a pretty good calendar app, but it is restricted to a Google-hosted calendar. There are some really outstanding calendar apps in the app store that are far better than Apple’s calendar ever was (which I’ve never actually used in 13 years). Thanks for all the feedback. Yes it’s true. Apple support said it’s designed so If you want to scroll and look at or search for events older than a year you’re out of luck. Search for another app was their suggestion. Unless you want to click on hundreds of days to find a particular event.
