Is there any way to return to the calendar format prior to this latest update 9/17/2020?

Yes, this design update for the calendar/date update is an epic fail. Completely confusing. I can’t even figure out how to change the actual day. Don’t force me to read a support article to figure that out. That in of itself is a complete admission of how poorly designed this is.
I agree the latest update for the calendar is horrendous. You can’t easily distinguish between days. I hate it. Why would anyone think this is an improvement????
No just get rid of it! It’s the silliest update apple has ever done!
Why would you call this an update? No thought used in this terrible design! Please let us know when this will be fixed, hopefully soon.
