Tell Apple here:

Feedback - iPhone - Apple

Be specific about what you like and what you don't; if you just say it's "horrible" or a "nightmare" that's not constructive and so nothing can be done with that.

Say what you would like it to look like or how you want it to operate.

No one here can do anything about it.

The trouble is, Apple obviously know this update is terrible and they don’t want our feedback because they don’t even list the calendar app under iOS apps on their feedback page. Why not? had to leave my feedback under the iPhone section. I feel sure that eventually the app will be tweaked and improved a bit, but I doubt the old app will return. Shame on Apple for this shocking so called upgrade.

I, along with the other 600+ people who "have this same question," am frustrated with the new calendar interface. When you add a new event from the scrolling view, it frequently defaults to a date other than the one at the top of the view; when the date is displayed, it doesn't show the day of the week (unless you tap on the date); it isn't obvious whether the AM or PM selector is pressed; you have to type the digits for the time (which I'm neutral on... the spinning wheels which only allowed events to be scheduled on 5-minute increments wasn't perfect, either).

I end up scheduling MANY events on the wrong date, or wrong AM/PM, due to the new interface. And I now have to double check every event I add to make sure it ended up as intended. I can't count the number of times I've been standing next to someone who is adding an event on their iOS device who expressed frustration at the interface.

This is not simply about being unfamiliar with the new interface, the new interface is less effective.

Where's the NOT helpful button? Number 1 - We're not silly, we've been creating events for a long time. Number 2 - takes you to a 'help' page with the OLD view when you could actually have the calendar and a list of events on the same page. Number 3 - again, we've been doing this for a while and adding a link that basically says go to your settings is a little bit patronising. The problem we are all having is that there is no view anymore that holds the month view with the list underneath it. This was by FAR the best way to view calendar. This new way feels like a knock off of Google (and a bad version at that). I have quite a few business milestones for multiple projects from Planner that are an all day event. They are now jammed up at the top of the calendar in a horrendous little tiny space that you can barely scroll, let alone functionally use, or on the other view they take up the page before I see my day's meetings. It's just poorly designed. I probably wouldn't have an issue with it if Apple didn't take away the calendar that is actually useful and give me a choice.

Apple has a long and storied history of not giving users a choice. They are legend for giving users what they (Apple) believe the user should have, not what the users say they want. And, it seems to be working for them on the whole.

This is a user-to-user technical support forum. Apple doesn't read here for suggestions. If you want them to hear your opinion, you can let them know using the feedback page:
