Tell Apple here:
Be specific about what you like and what you don't; if you just say it's "horrible" or a "nightmare" that's not constructive and so nothing can be done with that.
Say what you would like it to look like or how you want it to operate.
No one here can do anything about it.
They made a lot of good updates except the icalendar. Who’s dumb idea was it to change the way you adjust the time?! Makes it so much harder now to enter times. I think it’s time to switch to google calendar
The latest change to Calendars to set event timings requires tiny little fingers and a lot of patience - it's stupid! Go back to the old way of changing timings and dates. Stop letting bored geeks change things that work!

No it doesn't. Tap on the time and it brings up a numeric keypad that'a about a third of the screen. It's actually much faster than the old way. No more scrolling!
I completely agree. The new format is absolutely useless. The list of events is unreadable just a jumbled mass.
What on earth possessed apple to change what was working perfectly fine. For goodness sake bring back the old format!
No it doesn’t?! What iPhone are you using?! When I tap on the time it becomes this little tiny scrolling box you need to have the tiniest fingers to adjust the time. It’s super frustrating. Change it back!!! It does not bring up a numeric pad that is the third of the screen.
Yeah but it doesn’t enlarge the box. It’s cumbersome now. It’s difficult to see the numbers you’re changing. It was easier to see and scroll the time the way it was before. I’ve given up and moved everything to google calendar. Icalendar sucks now.

What do you mean it doesn't enlarge the box? If you tap on the time, you will get very large buttons at the bottom of the page. It looks like the dial pad for the Phone app. Tap those numbers to select the time.
Is there an actual reset for the calendar function to go back to the older calendar style pre this latest update?
these attached articles don’t seem to address that and I don’t have time to read through reams of support documents. Thanks
Calendars should be intuitive. Most of us used it successfully as it was. Apple dropped this on us without any information and what was intuitive and simple has become complex and corrupted. Something like a calendar shouldn’t be a process that has to be figured out, cussed at, and given up on.
Idris,
you must just have really small fingers, as time rolls on and software engineers try to justify their jobs, screens get more and more cluttered with things we don’t need, not just phones but computer software too.
The tweaked (not new) calendar app is rubbish, because it makes it harder to simple put something in it, particularly trying to scroll the time on a now tiny rectangle...
it’s not change for good, it’s bad design allowed to let slip through the net and get approved by bad management...

No. I just understand that if you tap on the time, you get a big numeric keyboard that takes up about the bottom third of the screen. It's MUCH easier than scrolling, at least for me.
The only useful metric to measure here is improvement to productivity->total time of interaction +%error-rate.
@ldrisSeabright asserts that it's just a learning curve, yet people here are saying they don't see a way to make an appointment
as quickly or mistake-free as previous version.
For me accessing the scroll requires a lot of additional fine motor skill—an uncomfortable threading-the-needle feeling—and resorting to the number pad is just plain slow.
You'd imagine decisions like this would've been backed up by data, would be helpful to know fastest method (excluding Siri).
The problem I’m having which I think must be related to the calendar change is in business pages.
when I set an appointment for a customer it used to send them that appointment in the messages but now it doesn’t do that it just tells me appointment set and they get no notification of that. Very frustrating
I think we all agree. The new calendar app is so bad the average ten year old could have done better. Apple, did you put somebody on work experience on this one? Please do something. I am delaying updating my iPad until this is fixed, as it’s the only place I can now enter new events.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I don't understand why tapping on the time and opening a numeric keypad and typing the actual time in is more difficult that scrolling through the time, except that is what people are used to. I find typing the exact time into the calendar to be quite easy and a very efficient way to do it. But again, that is my opinion.
