iPhone 11 Pro Max won't turn off or reset

what worked for me was pressing the volume up rocker quickly, the volume down quick then tap/hold the button on the other side. It should turn off as soon as you tap it but in some cases it may need to be held down.

the volume up and side button simultaneously didn’t work for me and my phone was far from being dead.

Which is precisely what the link I referenced above states as the proper procedure:

iPhone 8 or later: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.

I went to Verizon because of this happening and they sent me a new phone and it’s been with few weeks and now it’s doing the same thing on my new iPhone 11 Pro. I’m so over this and ab to get a samsung

(btw, 3 other iPhone friends tried to help & they couldn't figure out the issue either) BUT THIS WORKS & was super easy!

i tried that and nothing worked my problem is i am unable to open any app which is frustrating as you can imagine it wont let me view my text miss calls nothing what so ever amd i have to use siri to ring people but it wont let me end it as the buttons will not show i can not turn off my phone or update it nothing is working its impossible im loosing it

We went to settings and shut down the iPhone and when it came back on everything was working properly.. Hope this helps

What if it doesn’t turn back on, since the buttons to turn it off don’t work as well...?
