Hello, My iPhone 11 Pro Max won't turn off. The screen isn't frozen but no apps will open. My screen won't even go to sleep. I've tried holding down the power and volume button but nothing will work. Please help.

Hi what worked for me was quickly press the volume up button then straight after that do the same with the volume down button then quickly press or hold the the power button down when I tried I had to hold the power button down and don’t worry none of this will erase any thing off your device
I was able to stop this using Find My iPhone on my computer.
Steps:
Your phone should return to the lock screen and have full functionality returned.

You have to let it die and then charge it. If no troubleshooting issues are working such as the standard volume up and down button as well as hold. Afterwards, make sure there isn’t any pending updates. I just went through this, and I had it looked at today even though it came back on and reset itself. I still wanted to be safe. The tech updated it, ran a full diagnostic and its fine but my iPhone is a new 11 and barely a year old so my thing is it never should’ve happened ! But yeah give it a try, hope it works for you !
This same thing happened to me yesterday but basically your going to have to wait till it dies and then charge it and it should be fine. It’s super annoying but my phones working fine now.
Yeah I let it die and it came back to life normal.
My iPhone 11 was frozen up and the only thing that worked was Seri. I ask her to contact apple support. Amazingly she did and I was so excited to talk to a very helpful person. She got my problem solved in about 7 minutes. Wish I could remember her name. She was actually speaking fluent English I could understand.
This has happened 5 times this week I was calling my mom and I got an incoming FaceTime call the whole FaceTime screen goes grey. My phone won’t let me turn off with the power button I can’t restart my phone or enter any apps. I literally have to wait till my phone dies in order for it to start working again.
The same thing keep happening to me. I didn't drop it or anything it just started to randomly do it & idk if i should get a new phone or not.. But you were kind of helpful Im just gonna let it die. && See if it works.

I have the same thing I can move my screen but I can’t power off and I can’t go to apps will I need a new phone the other method isn’t working either
