Not tracking maps of workout on Fitness App

since updating to IOS14 on my iPhone X the fitness app has stopped recording a map of my walks and rides. I have also updated the software on my Watch 3 to V7.0. . I have done all the location services checks. I have turned everything off and on. I have also reset the fittness calibration data on the watch, gone for a 20min walk to re calibrate and still no good. This is very frustrating!!

I have the same issue on my series 3 and iPhone Xr. Both recently updated IOS 14 and WatchOS 7. No GPS route after a walk, run or cycling and past routes are missing.

I've tried restarting both devices, toggling location services, and unpairing my Apple watch to the phone. Since the unpair last night the watch has randomly shutdown twice. Nothing seems to correct the issue. Hopefully Apple fixes this quickly.

I too lost route tracking since updating to iOS 14.0 and watchOS 7.0. Fortunately I still see the old routes in the Workout app. For new workouts the app only shows the starting point and total length but actual route is missing. I have tried toggling the location services off and back on and rebooted the devices but these steps didn't help. I have iPhone 11 Pro and Apple Watch Series 5.

I am having some similar issues. iPhone 11, Apple Watch 3 just updated both. My movement isn't registering, so no ring movement at all. I have had my watch since June and I am doing a long *** virtual hike that I do not want to carry my iPhone around for all the time. Please fix this APPLE!!!!!!

A very expensive watch if I can't use it for any exercise or movement tracking.

It is nice to see all of your complaints here. I know that I am not alone.

I’ve tried everything, literally everything to fix this issue. Including wiping and reloading the software of my phone and watch and re-pairing them. The Apple Watch is basically worthless to me without the exercise functions for my running. Just like all of you, it does not track GPS, does not transfer my exercise data to the fitness app on the phone, the rings sometimes update, sometimes not. I have found a work-around that some of you have discussed:

Gear: 2020 iPhone XR, Apple Watch Series 4.

1) take your iPhone on your run.

2) start your run on the workout app on the watch.

3) when you are done running, PAUSE your workout.

4) open the Fitness App on your iPhone. (my app takes about 25 seconds to load- another bug)

5) with the Fitness App open on your iPhone, end your workout on your watch and choose done.

6) this will USUALLY transfer your run data to the Fitness App, but not always.

7) this will NOT transfer GPS run course data. I lost that functionality after the upgrade.

Suggestion: get the Garmin 45 for your exercise. It’s affordable and works perfectly every single time.

Dear Apple, I’m all in with your ecosystem. If you sell it, I buy it. Please for the love of God, make this a freaking priority!!!!!!
