iOS 14 Problem - Call Control Buttons On Lock Screen

Perhaps I'm missing something obvious. Just upgraded and when on various calls (phone, MS Teams, Cisco Jabber) I used to have call controls on the lock screen. Things like Mute, Audio Source, Speaker, etc.

Now there is nothing and you need to unlock the phone and go into the GREEN bar upper left for can controls. This is annoying when constantly going in/out of Mute on calls. Does anyone know how to get this functionality back or a better way to mute on/off with Airpods?

Thanks!

i think i have found out the solution for this. Hopefully it will work for everyone.

In IOS 14, apple has defaulted the “banner style” for all incoming calls, so that when you are using iphone/ipad and a call is received it’s displayed as a small banner on the top of screen with options to reject or accept the call. Upon accepting the call, a small green bar is displayed on top left which needs to be clicked for opening all controls.

To resolve this issue in an IPhone, go to Settings -> Phone -> Incoming Calls. Select “Full screen” instead of “Banner”.

I'm shocked that there aren't more posts about this all over the Internet. kcamper2000 has graciously offered up their workaround just about everywhere that this has been brought up, but no word on any kind of fix? At first I hoped that app updates would take care of this, but I experience this issue with both MS Teams and Zoom. This is a really crappy regression and IOS 14.1 doesn't appear to address it.

Very frustrating that this worked perfectly in iOS 13 and was broken as of iOS 14.0. Even more frustrating that iOS 14 has gone through a number of updates, now on 14.3 and this problem has still not been resolved. Seriously not worth updating to a new iOS version for at least 6 months after release these days, Apple quality control is awful!

Hello. I found perfectly working WORKAROUND:

During Microsoft Teams meeting, just go to home screen, start dialing any number via built-in Phone app and stop even after 1 second. Your Teams meeting won't dissconnect, it will just pause. After that, when You go back to Teams and lock the screen, call controls will appear every time! Simple as that!!!

Of course You have to repeat those steps on every new Teams meeting.

I hope you find this guide useful.
