iOS 14 ringer volume issues

I updated iPhone to iOS 14.0.1 and paired new iWatch 6. I am having the same ringer and notification mute issue on both iPhone and cellular watch. I have the volume setting in the middle and the control with buttons off. I reset the iPhone and the watch and this fixed it for the rest of yesterday. After being on their chargers over night, the issue returned today. Apple please fix this issue!

Same here, first started with iOS14 and unfortunately 14.0.1 didn’t fix the issue either. I’ve almost missed work several times! I have the ringer and alerts slider all the way up, but when I check again after a short time it’s all the way to the left without touching it. I also have the change with buttons turned off. Fix this, Apple!

No sorry I haven't seen that issue. You know what helps is if you're using a beta version of iOS (Public or Developer), it installs a Feedback app on your device. You can then use that app to send Feedback to Apple. I've had Apple contact me directly about bugs I've submitted through the Feedback app. If you could get a screenshot or recording of the wrong Caller ID showing up that could be super helpful as well

Apple needs to fix this ASAP. I use my phone for business as well as personal stuff. Don’t mind missing all the idiot telemarketers, but real business is not good.

iPhone X iOS 14.01

I noticed today that the volume gets turned down to zero after I decline a call. Will see if that is the cause for my phone at least.

I finally spoke to a support guy who offered better advise that I have been. He advised to put the phone into recovery and do an update via iTunes and it appears to have fixed the issues I was having including the volume. It may or not work but seems to have for me so thought I’d share I case it helps anyone else

Got ahold of Apple Support, and explained in detail on 10/10/2020 what I wrote above about the iOS 14.0.1 ringer problem and after several back and forth answers they admitted that “They Have No Fix For This Issue At This Time”.

Apple should seriously be embarrassed with this latest OS. By far the most buggiest in quite a while. I had no problems with 13. Between the lag when switching to messages, notification volume being turned down (which is also affecting my watch so I’m missing notifications entirely), and other random crap.

I really hope they light a fire under their developers butts and get this crap fixed already.

This is an option for DO NOT DISTURB feature. Basically your phone is silent when DND is on when your screen is locked, but still rings when your using it.

Always just means you wont hear any ring or notification sound even while you’re using your phone while on DND.

I have tried that but didn’t solve the issue

and apparently people upgraded to 14.2 some if them say it didn’t fix it yet

last time I called support they said reset the iphone to factory settings which is ridiculous

My wife and I just upgraded to the 11 and both had 14.0 and seem to work fine. Then they updated to 14.1 and the ringer stop but I found a fix for that issue then they updated to 14.2 and they both have been silent since then. I have not found anywhere that even acknowledges that there is a ring problem for iOS 14.x. We have been on apple since the iPhone 3 and though all of the upgrades. This is the first time they broke the **** phone. It is or should be a phone first and every thing else second.

Yes still having issue after update. There is no sound of notifications and keyboard click when you are on call. Not a good update for me 😏

IOS 14.0.1 did not fix it. It still resets to no volume on ringers and alerts even when I turn off change with buttons. 😡

Yep I have the same thing also with No notifications during a phone call. Apple needs to get this figured out before I drop Apple.

I tried locking the sound to where you have to go into the settings to turn it up or down and it still turns itself down.
