iOS 14 ringer volume issues

I think if apple doesn’t resolve this problem, soon they will lose a really great amount of users for a life. It is embarrassing, I always loved their phones, but now if it is not reliable for the first thing anybody buys a phone it is so sad!

Along with the Sound I’ve also noticed a slight issue with my Haptic Feedback!, not sure what the correct terminology is but the Haptic Feedback doesn’t seem as Haptic/intense, like sometimes a don’t even feel it!.

Took it to my local Genius Bar today and they ran there some what “Diagnostic Test” and all came back fine.

i absolutely love Apple products but think it’s time for a change.

I too am having the same problem today. Mine’s a XR on 14.0.1. I’ve been running this version for a while and I only noticed it today. This is seriously annoying since this affects our work and a lot of stuff!! Apple really needs to fix this ASAP 😫

I’m also having this issue. Seems to happen after connecting to car Bluetooth but also just randomly.

Fix this problem as it defeats the core purpose of the iPhone. You know...to be a phone...that rings...

It’s concerning to me that this has been a known issue for as long as it has with no solution.

Just now, after setting my alarms to wake up at the correct hour I checked settings, because I have to now, and sure enough, sounds set to zero. I have missed multiple alarms, phone calls, and messages over the last month.

One’s phone losing the ability to notify you is a big deal.

Well, since 14.1 it seems to be behaving itself ( a bit). I did catch it with the volume set to half the other day which was weird but at least it rings now.

On another probably related note, I have an app that has all Notifications turned off, no sound set etc and it still manages to make a noise.

All is not well in this part of Fruitville.

Since the update my ringer turns to the lowest setting on its own.

Since the update calls continually drop during conversations.

Since the update some calls don’t go through and I have to dial again.

I tried all of the setting changes and nothing made any difference. A phone should be able to ring without having to turn off some of the advanced features that make it worth paying so much for. Hopefully 14.2 will fix this as suggested by some testers.

Don’t know yet as just down loaded the update. The change that was suppose to occur with Attention in face recognition did not work after a few days of working. When talkin to apple experts, they truly don’ know,

After the 14.2 update..my alarm sound on the clock alarm goes to a loud ringing when I stop the alarm..I must shut down my ipad 5th generation to end the sound...also when I was attempting to change to message notification sound I got an Un selected chime repeating and had to close down the setup screen to get it to stop..

My volume is reduced after an alert or phonecall ringtone. The visual slider appears at the top showing that the volume was lowered. This is a serious problem and I cannot believe that Apple has not addressed it yet.

Just updated to iOS 14.3 and am still experiencing issues with volume changing by itself.

I try to turn my ringer to the lowest volume before silent (10%) and it automatically gets raised to about 40% volume. I can't tell what's triggering it, but I noticed I had the volume set to 10%, received a call/answered it/hung up, and the volume was back to 40%.

Took my case off to see if it was pressing the buttons, but it still happens without the case. I have an SE, which doesn't have Attention Awareness so it's not that, and I don't use bluetooth earbuds.

I'm on iOS 14.3 iPhone 6s Plus and I have an issue where the ringer volume keeps being raised to maximum. I keep lowering it to minimum and then I'll get a call or a message that scares the crap out of me at full volume. I keep lowering the ringer volume and it keeps getting reset to the max.

I have the exact opposite problem. Every time I send a text, or a message with an app like Facebook messenger, or lock my phone, and possibly other things it spontaneously turns my ringer volume up to about 3/4 volume. So annoying.

It should work. I have not had a problem all day
