iOS 14 ringer volume issues

Hi, I did the latest update to ios14. Since then my ringer volume keeps being turned down to minimal. I’m not turning it down, it seems to happen when the phone is locked. I cannot manually change the volume when in lock mode. Any ideas?

iPhone XR, iOS 14

I have turned off Sleep Mode from the Health App. It’s somewhat buried, but since I turned it off, I no longer have issues with the alerts and ringer.

note: the ringer slider still is showing completely silent at times. But if I manually lock the phone and go back in, the slider moves back. Seems like a UI glitch.

I've read through all the replies, along with some other outside threads on this issue. Some say it's just a visual glitch and some say they cannot replicate the issue - well I experience my volume dropping to 0 several times a day and I'm on iOS14.2 dev beta 1. I'm installing iOS 14.2 dev beta 2 right now. We'll see if that fixes it but I can confirm that it's not just a visual volume slider glitch. I'll pick up my phone and realize I've missed several calls and texts all because the volume has dropped to 0. Hopefully this next dev update fixes the problem. The Release Notes dont address the bug but we'll see how it does

Apple knows exactly that this is an Issue on this piece of crap phone... They just trying to make you buy a more expensive iPhone 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and etc.... I guess I'm goin (AGAIN) to "Exchange" my iPhone SE for another SE.... I had COVID and lost my job, my apt, and barely getting by...., but they don't give a ****, about that.... Don't you already have one of the sales people telling yo.... but sir, there's a better and mode advance models that don't have any problem.... Pushing you to get an almost $2000 or $2500 phone... is disgusting

Today I had a call with Apple Support here in Italy about another issue I am facing https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251857924 (this issue affects iPhone SE 2nd Gen only) and I have highlighted the ringer volume issue too.

A also sent to them a short video that explains the issue https://www.dropbox.com/s/pla436vwokglgem/RPReplay_Final1601631184.MP4?dl=0

I'm now waiting for further info from Apple Support.

I got a new iPhone SE last week ... to begin , this will be the 3rd iPhone in less than a week I had to return to Apple, because is without a doubt the Biggest piece of 💩 only made to the user, so incredibly upset with it , that you’ll get a newer and Very Expensive new version on iPhone .. Not taking in consideration, we live in COVID-19 times and thousands of people (like myself) , got that terrible virus 🦠, are getting evicted (again like myself) , lost their job ,.. and yes , like me ... and had the unfortunate situation so dire; I had to move from Chelsea (NYC) where I lived for 30 years , to ... Phoenix. AZ ....I still debating myself who’s worst: Apple or Verizon ...

I went to the process of Activation of the new phone ; 3 times already .... And to keep with the aggravation alive, because this faulty new and improved iPhone SE is nothing but the worst product on the market ... (and btw, they advertise hoe cheap it is ... Only $399 , that will ended up costing a Way lot More , including your mental state

I started getting (Again) the notification of Contact the carrier , because the phone is not activated , every hour since 4:00 pm today . After my 4th visit to the Verizon store here in Phoenix , where they ASSURE ME... I won’t have any more problems with this .... at least on the Carrier side ..

So , I am , as you can read , beyond upset and keep wondering 💭 if been a client of Verizon and Apple for more than 20years ;(Both companies) is worth this abuse ????

iPhone 8 plus 256GB, iOS 14.0.1, with cracked non-functioning home button. ( using passcode & AssistiveTouch)

Ringer & Alerts volume “Change with Buttons” toggle in off position.

My ringer goes to “0” randomly too, but for life of me can’t find what triggers it.

-

I’ve also noticed the App’s in my bottom home bar get reversed/mirrored,

this seems to occur at the same time my ringer issue happens. Very strange.

A fix for this would be greatly appreciated. I’m tired of missing calls.

I upgraded from an old 6s to a new 11pro and even bought the new Apple Watch 6 to track heart rate, etc. It was an extraordinary amount of money for me to spend but I needed a super reliable setup to assist with my new work from home schedules.

I have tried every solution mentioned in the forums to no avail. (Including the nuclear DFU method twice). But if this Alert/Ringer volume issue can’t be resolved soon then I will have to go back to the other OS. There is so much with the Apple ecosystem that is so well done but if my phone doesn’t ring or wake me up in the morning then my phone ceases to be viable option for me!

This all makes me so sad!! ☹️
