iOS 14 ringer volume issues

I haven’t had an issue either since installing the 14.2b3 update for the public.

I did have to lock the sound in my phone just to keep the volume from being turned down automatically. I too missed calls because of this.

I also am having issues with hearing the sound on Jib Jab video I sent to a friend.

the sound is on but I grr nothing on my end.

AFAIK it’s not an Attention Aware issue. At lease not on my phone. I’ve tried it on and off. Both settings result in random volume turn downs through the day. It’s also not related to declining calls or scheduled for not disturb settings. This is a POS bug in these versions of IOS. Phone was working fine till the update. I may not have the latest phone but it’s an X so it’s also not some refurbished or abused something or another. If Apple is trying to convince me to upgrade my phone, the only upgrade they are making me look into is another manufacturer. Can’t have a phone that doesn’t ring when business is calling.

Hopefully the issue is resolved in the next official update, I'm just here to report that I've not had the issue since installing the latest developer beta 14.2 b3. Been running since it came out last week and not once has my volume slider moved all the way to the left. If you're not familiar with the developer betas don't install it, wait for next official.

I have iPhone XR and having the same issue

its a bug and i called support twice, tried reset all settings , disabled attention aware and tried 14.1 no use ... it has become really annoying ... really a messed up bug from Apple

Obviously IOS 14 and all of its upgrades have caused a variety of problems. Mine was caused the volume button to go to total decrease. After several up grades mine is now working fine but not with help from the help line.

Got ahold of Apple Support, and explained in detail on 10/10/2020 what I wrote above and after several back and forth answers they admitted that “They Have No Fix For This Issue At This Time”.

Bro so don’t worry its an feature. If you connect headphone then it reduce will shows you and it will also decrease your volume to 50% just for your safety purpose

i tried the steps that you told the other person to do it but still i am facing the same issue of sound like in settings ringer and alert sound goes down and i have to do it again and again to put it back on full.

This needs to be addressed ASAP! I have the setting “Change with buttons” turned off. This to me would mean that no matter what, the ringer/notification volume should not move unless I go into the sound settings and manually slide the slider. Pretty much every day my ringer/notification volume is now slid all the way to the left and I’m missing out on important things here Apple. Fix this issue please!

I had the same thing happen. In fact, I turned up the volume, went into the news app via a widget, and went back to the volume slider in sounds. Low and behold, in the 1 minute it took to go there and back, the volume had changed. I closed the settings, reopened settings and literally saw the slider move suddenly from midrange to about 3/4 loud.
