Typing lag in Notes app on iOS 14
Ever since I updated my phone whenever I type in notes my keyboard is very laggy and slow. It’s never happened before. Any solution??

I just found a fix that worked for me! Supposedly the custom dictionary in iOS/iPadOS 14 isn’t compatible with the one from previous OS’s, and resetting the keyboard dictionary might reduce or eliminate the keyboard lag problem. I was doubtful at first, but I went ahead and reset my dictionary, and INSTANTLY the lag problem disappeared!
To do this, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Keyboard Dictionary.
Another potential fix that might work for some of you is force-restarting your device. The steps for doing this is different depending on which iPhone/iPad you’re using, but it usually involves pressing and holding all the buttons on your device at once until the Apple logo appears. It didn’t work for me, but it might work for someone.

I am having the same issue with iMessages when typing it is very laggy and has become very annoying.
It’s lagging on my messaging. It takes forever to catch up! Irritating!
Same here in my iMessage it’s not going when I press the letters. Is it just the iOS 14? I have another update for iOS 14.0.1 should I download it?

I’m upset I updated. It’s slow w most apps and when I’m trying to send images in messages it completely freezes. Terrible ☹️ who cares about customizing widgets when this is a major issue

Laggy keyboard after iOS 14 upgrade.
I have an iPhone 11 and after I upgraded to iOS 14 my keyboard had been laggy. I would type a message and nothing in the chat, few seconds later my chat appears.
Running into the same issue on an XS Max...using the messaging app. iMessage and regular texts too...
Glad to hear the latest phones have the same problems as my ageing 8+! Hopefully it means they’ll fix it rather than “force” me to upgrade later this month...😈
