Ever since I updated my phone whenever I type in notes my keyboard is very laggy and slow. It’s never happened before. Any solution??

I just found a fix that worked for me! Supposedly the custom dictionary in iOS/iPadOS 14 isn’t compatible with the one from previous OS’s, and resetting the keyboard dictionary might reduce or eliminate the keyboard lag problem. I was doubtful at first, but I went ahead and reset my dictionary, and INSTANTLY the lag problem disappeared!
To do this, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Keyboard Dictionary.
Another potential fix that might work for some of you is force-restarting your device. The steps for doing this is different depending on which iPhone/iPad you’re using, but it usually involves pressing and holding all the buttons on your device at once until the Apple logo appears. It didn’t work for me, but it might work for someone.

I was forced to upgrade my phone because I couldn’t handle the lag anymore. The new iPhone 12 pro max is lag free. Uggh
Resetting the dictionary made zero difference on an iPad.

Only you can answer that for you. It’s certainly annoying, but every device has its flaws. Until AI starts designing them, they’re going to be as flawed as the humans that make them.
Same , issue re-appears after I reset keyboard , I even re set my whole phone. I don’t think it’s because of Additional keyboard use
But it needs to stop it’s making me want to get a new phone
It happened after the iOS upgrade. I can’t believe they haven’t fixed it yet. I’ve upgraded to a new phone and issue is resolved. Good Luck

Me too! I would be working in google docs, or notes, or sometimes just texting someone and it gets laggy! But now it’s fine, but on certain apps it’s slow!
I have the same issue with my iPhone 12 Pro Max. There is a lag when I start to type in iMessage. It's so annoying. hopefully they'll fix it soon.
Still problems everywhere I type. I’ve applied the work around of shutdown to reset keyboard but lagging issue continues. iPhone XR is what I use and it’s frustrating! Like to see Apple respond!
