Typing lag in Notes app on iOS 14

I reset my keyboard to factory settings on my iphone XR, and it seemed to have worked so far! Let's hope others have success as well!

Thanks for the suggestions. Tried both actions. Feels like it might be a little bit improved, but still far too laggy to be of any use. Seems like there may be a few issues at play here.

In iMessage, I have 3 words typed before the characters even start appearing. Speech to text in iMessage also lags. iPhone X iOS 14.0.1

Hoping for 14.2 for them to fix that. Still no update with 14.1 which they just released. 😭😭

I tried to reset keyboard and did a hard reset on my iPhone X twice and still having the same issues.

I have an iPad Pro and many of my notes are all laggy. This was never a problem until the update and I thought their bug fix update would’ve fixed it but it didn’t. I hope Apple fixes it soon!

my phone had another recent update something like 14.2 🤷🏽‍♀️. I was skeptical but after a while I installed it and it doesn’t lag anymore. Sending pics via texts doesn’t freeze the phone either.

The lag in iOS 14 Notes is awful to the point of being unusable! Does Apple not have a quality assurance team anymore or something? This is embarrassingly bad.

Yeah, I was hoping in the next update they fix this lagging text problem. Can type out a whole sentence and it’ll be blank THEN after typing it types it out?? Weird

I was forced to upgrade my phone because I couldn’t handle the lag anymore. The new iPhone 12 pro max is lag free. Uggh

It happened after the iOS upgrade. I can’t believe they haven’t fixed it yet. I’ve upgraded to a new phone and issue is resolved. Good Luck

Still problems everywhere I type. I’ve applied the work around of shutdown to reset keyboard but lagging issue continues. iPhone XR is what I use and it’s frustrating! Like to see Apple respond!
