I updated my phone to ios 14 yesterday but after that when im using CarPlay Audio usually 2-3 minutes into a song or by the second song, I start getting crackling sounds. please help

Took my Skoda Fabia into the dealership today for another issue and asked them to update the firmware of the head unit and it resolved the issue. Skoda know and there is a TPI out so it’s covered by warranty.
Anyone who tells you to change cables or changing anything on your phone is a moron. It has nothing to do with your phone but with your head unit.
head unit software version is now 8755. It works. Finally.
hi what year is your fabia? And does it have sat nav? I have the same issue in my 2018 fabia but can’t find an update online
I’m running iOS 15 and it still crackles. Maybe it is a combination of my radios software and the CarPlay software.
I’m supposed to get a radio update soon.

15.1 is still doing it… it goes away after a while
I hear it only when my phone is plugged in.. it’s not a huge deal but it’s irritating

So many issue i'm facing at the moment with Ios 14 but with iOs 13.6 it was perfect.
Bluetooth working only apple car play having this issue.
This bug got introduced in iOs 14, apple should provide a good fix for this issue.
Since the last update (14.1) the audio of my music is playing at much greater decibels yet the sound is distorted in the speakers of my car, and even my Bose headphones are just not translating the music the way it should. I’m using the Bluetooth on all devices. It is atrocious. I believe it may even damage my ears and my speakers and probably even my soul if I don’t turn it off.
Would you mind advising if the audio on your voice calls is also poor, or is it only the music? On my Alpine CarPlay unit, since upgrading to an iPhone 12, the voice quality on phone calls is unusable but music quality is excellent. On my iPhone 7 Plus (also using iOS 14.2) the voice and music quality are both perfect.
Here’s something odd I came across. While like you I was able to eliminate the issue with the correct combination of new settings, the skipping came back with 14.7. I have begun to just accept it as is, since no one wants to address the issue on a large scale, and it’s up to users to do trial and error replacing everything only to have the issue still remain.
Now, back to the “odd” issue I’ve noticed. If I leave my house in airplane mode while playing downloaded music, about 3-5 minutes into my drive CarPlay completely crashes…I have no idea what causes this or if it is at all related to the skipping issue. Maybe the lack of internet connection causes CarPlay to crash as the navigation applications are constantly trying to update location information?

Did you try a full reset after your latest update. Worthwhile to try if there is no solution

No. Crackles in latest iOS 14.2 as well
Updated to 14.3 yesterday and still the same crackling issue. Does Apple even read this topics?

Maybe its your cord, USB port on car, or speaker issue in your car. Maybe try a new cord and clean your the hole for your cable. Tell me if those don’t work. Thank you.
