Hi all, upon updating to iOS 14, the incoming call occasionally shows the wrong contact name.
For example, if Mr. A is calling via direct line, it will show Mr. B calling which is my last call via WhatsApp or LINE.
Anyone would be advise whether is this a bug issue? settings? or etc?

iOS 14 has a major bug Every time you would get a call, the Caller ID on the screen (before you answer the call) shows the WRONG caller name. However, on the recent calls list, you can see the real name of the caller.
The wrong called caller ID appears updating to iOS 14. It usually happens if you are using multiple phone calling apps such as Whatsapp, Line, Skype, etc.
If you have a phone With Face ID:

Update to iOS 14.0.1
Apple launched iOS 14.0.1 few days after the launch of iOS 14. Follow the below steps to update your iPhone to the latest version.
Reset your network settings
If nothing works, please reset your network settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you’ve used before.

Doesn’t resolve my issue one bit. I need to see the phone number. So even though the name maybe wrong I want to see the number. I will say this the potential spam feature is a god send.

Same problem, but I am using Viber instead WhatsApp, but basically I have same problem every now and then. When someone calls me over line I get ID of a last person I've talked on Viber.
It's not just annoying. It's really problematic, because I answered the phone to wrong person. Someone I don't want to deal with. And that's pretty bad for experience. Is there any fix for this already?
Yes i am also facing the same issue if the last call is a WhatsApp call. When it will be fixed as I am facing serious problem as can’t understand who is calling.
Even ios 14.0.1 update cant fix up this problem. Apple Shud fix this asap
Hi there, I managed to find a solution which is a “hard” restart as below:
Press the UP volume button and then, the DOWN volume button and then, press hold the POWER button until it restarts and then let it start as normal.
Pls take note that from UP till Down till Power, you have to press it very quickly as if you are using a video game controller.
So far, it solved my caller ID issue and hope that it helps yours too!

Dear sir, I tried the method that irwin wong mentioned, and I ended up with turn off, emergency and medical call screen 😂 (see pic.). I selected (slide to power off) and I turned my iPhone off. Actually I don’t know if this will solve the problem or not, but I will inform you soon.

This happens to me but with Facebook Messenger video calls. Whenever someone calls me it will show up as the last person I spoke to via messenger video. I completely restored my phone (erased and set up as new), and this still happens. It is a software problem with iOS 14.
