Hi all, upon updating to iOS 14, the incoming call occasionally shows the wrong contact name.
For example, if Mr. A is calling via direct line, it will show Mr. B calling which is my last call via WhatsApp or LINE.
Anyone would be advise whether is this a bug issue? settings? or etc?

iOS 14 has a major bug Every time you would get a call, the Caller ID on the screen (before you answer the call) shows the WRONG caller name. However, on the recent calls list, you can see the real name of the caller.
The wrong called caller ID appears updating to iOS 14. It usually happens if you are using multiple phone calling apps such as Whatsapp, Line, Skype, etc.
If you have a phone With Face ID:

Update to iOS 14.0.1
Apple launched iOS 14.0.1 few days after the launch of iOS 14. Follow the below steps to update your iPhone to the latest version.
Reset your network settings
If nothing works, please reset your network settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you’ve used before.

I thought it was nice that my mum was calling. Turned out it was the food delivery guy who was angry that due to renovation work the door bell outside the apartment building is not working.
iOS14....
Just happened to me today for the first time today. A client (voice) called outside office hours, but the ID was from a relative's WhatsApp account, and you know how you tailor your intro/voice based on who's calling?
Yeah, that was incredibly awkward hearing my client's voice in response!
Pretty mad at Apple right now.
I also have this problem. Fully updated iOS running on an iPhone 8. Incoming calls will show up as the last person I called on Google Duo.
This is really annoying and creates confusion as I have received calls expecting them to be my mom, when they turned out to be a colleague or my boss (or someone I’ve been avoiding!).
This is preposterous. Why would apple mark an issue or bug like this as solved when I still see the caller ID issue in iOS 14.0.1.
I could see that this is being a predominant issue in calls with Facebook related applications such as Whatsapp and Instagram.
Apple must be liable for its customer experience and need to have this fixed ASAP !

But you should definitely switch to Android. They are perfect in every way, and you will never have any problem with it. But be sure to buy a really good antivirus for it.

Rather this is becoming a major issue. Apple is Busy selling in 5G phone and missing on the basic and fundamental functionality of Phone.
Wrong or Last sticky caller ID is a serious issue.
My phone is doing the same thing. Every time I call someone on Snapchat or a different application when someone calls me back it says that that person is calling from that app but when i answer it's someone else. Please fix this Apple!!! I accidentally said something inappropriate to somebody who called because I thought it was my friend as a joke 🤦🏽♂️
The most frustrating thing is that it’s showing names instead of numbers for contacts that are not stored. For instance if a complete freaking stranger calls I get a weird name. I want to see the number not the name. No option to change this exist. This is infuriating as I have to send everyone to voicemail if they are not a stored contact

Hey Apple, how is this issue solved with someone replying that they're having the same issue? How about answering peoples questions and fixing your buggy software? I just bought a new iPhone 12 Pro and now I'm unsure of who is calling me because the last call from a Teams meeting is showing in the caller ID instead of who is actually calling me. I'm a software engineer so I know sometimes these things happen but this question was posted over a month ago with it showing resolved when it's clearly not.
My caller ID just showed that my Grandmother was calling me from her nursing home via her Alexa device. That means I drop everything as it is usually an emergency.
Actually it was a company calling me about a routine survey after using their services. Really could not be more wrong. How is it possible to muddle the two and honestly what is the use of a phone that can't tell who is calling and worse just makes stuff up?
I bought new IPhone 12 Pro, sister got pro max She has my name in her contacts as always but when I call or text her I come up Christine Fronk......... ?...she doesn’t even know a Person with this name. Have IOS 14.3. Good thing she knows it’s me!
Hi, did you managed to get any solution on this? Otherwise, is there any official communication channel which we can voice this out to Apple’s management as this is considered a serious issue.
