iOS 14: Wrong Caller ID on Incoming Call

you're lucky! I need to reset the network setting, and some of users still suffering after the upate the software or reset the network.

This happened on my son’s iphone 11 running 14.0.1. Phone call was from my wife and displayed as one of his friends as a snapchat audio call.

All other phones running ios 13 don’t have this issue.

This is obnoxious this has caused me so much because I have been accepting calls on roaming number on the esim. Cant believe they can let a bug of this nature missing in their testing.

Hello, I am facing the same issue, it's usually showing the number I last dialed on Whatsapp as a caller ID of the next number that is calling me via direct LINE.

This is also happening to me. It only begun happening since installing iOS14 last week. Apple please fix this ASAP. It’s very inconvenient to have incoming calls being mis-identified as other callers.

It is so horrible. My girlfriend called me up, we talked and the call ended over WhatsApp.

Then my lady boss called, and the screen displayed my girlfriend calling.

I greeted her the wrong way and it was very hard explaining the case of mistaken identity.

Guess what? If you read the thread you posted to you will see that this is a temporary fix, and the problem returns after a period of time.

Even I am facing same issue. I am using dual sim iPhone in which one sim is international. When I get call caller Id shows wrong caller. I end up with receiving false international call. And amount is deducted for receiving incoming international call. It’s so annoying.

A few days ago I was having an agitated conversation with my parents over the phone. I was running errands for them as they are 70+ and yet again they had given me incorrect information, even though I’ve kept asking them to check and double check the info they give me. So I wasn’t cool as a cucumber when I a few moments after received another check call and the display said my dear parents were calling me back again. “What now?” I thought just I answered. Low and behold, if it wasn’t a very important business call I had been waiting - and done a whole lot of prepping for. And now I must say I botched it as my tone was something less than polite when I answered the phone.

Facing this issue now all time.

I am getting confused in between in my office work/calls.

Now I am identifying the caller by their voice, as the name is getting updated after disconnecting the call.

Do we have any work around? or fix update

Seriously apple, Post updation to ios 14, I am getting wrong contact information during incoming call’s. sometime it shows some random wats app contact some time zoom or just number with no contact name despite contact is saved on my phone. Very very serious issue, could you guys please fix this asap. Thank you.

Additionally, the screen light does not light when a notification is being received. This happens intermittently.

I faced the same issue, i got a direct call but it was showing WhatsApp call and it was showing the name of friend sitting next to me, i asked why he is calling me he said he is not, i showed him my phone saying you are calling me, he showed his phone that he is not, then k answered the call out of curiosity and found that’s my colleague calling me that too on direct line. This is some serious issue.

Same peoblem here too !!! I cant beleive apple is bot taking caare of this . Dont forget that the main feature of the iphone is the phone . And that is the basic . Its about time this big gets fixed its really annoying
