In ios14 the Podcast app incessantly asks to log into podcasts. When I start to type my password it goes away then comes back. Is anyone else seeing this issue?

Solved ! As others have stated I think it started happening to me because I changed the password elsewhere. So as soon as the password request flashed up this time, I entered my APPLE ID password. The password request also flashed up on my other devices and I did the same there. Everything is back to normal now.
It’s important to realise that BBC Sounds and iPlayer require your BBC password but PODCASTS requires your Apple ID account email and password.
Just try and anticipate it, if you are quick you can get the opportunity to put in your Apple ID and password , it is possible, I have done it and have had no problems since.
My wife 's phone now has the same issues. Screen keeps dropping out and re-booting. Keeps asking me for login (especially on podcasts) but login screen keeps dropping in and out before I can enter a Password.
Both phones fine before IOS14.2 now both messed up.
Will try and re-boot after re-boot again to see if it works

I have a large podcast collection now held hostage by this awful problem for a month. I’ve reinstalled it turned off sync, restarted a million times, nothing stops it. It never asked to sign before ios14, the nightmare version. That the signin disappears before you can even finish your password.... a whole new circle in ****.
I've also been having this exact same issue. I just got a new phone; I upgraded from a 6s to a 12 mini. And that didn't even solve the problem. I continue to get the same annoying prompt for password in the Podcast app. So, this is clearly not a hardware or OS issue. This is a bizarre Apple back-end iTunes/Podcast issue. No matter how many times I attempt to enter my password in Podcast, the issue does not go away.
I may have to abandon Apple's Podcast app entirely just to avoid the problem. Sooooo annoying.

This has been happening to me for several months on my iPad. I usually just hit cancel but it comes up constantly, interfering with the podcast and is a real nuisance. The log in screen vanishes if I try to enter my Apple ID password.
I didn’t find any specific solution, but mine just stopped doing it after a few days. Hopefully the same happens for you!
Keeps happening to me. It’s super annoying. When I try to log in and remember my password, I always forget and then it locks my account. I’m about to fully give up on this app and just use Spotify. Super annoying
Yes, it keeps happening to me. Driving me crazy.
Worse, as a result it keeps locking me out of my account forcing me to change my password. I then have to change it on everything else. HomePod Minis, Apple TV, iPhone, Mac . . .
Please fix it Apple, quickly!
2 months of this nightmare. Never before IOS 14 did I ever need to sign into podcasts. Now it's a constant, but impossible, because it disappears halfway through your entry. I've uninstalled the app, turned off sync, rebooted phone multiple times in a row. What is wrong with this stupid company? No fix for this problem?

We bought the **** ipad or iphone...why do they have to keep bothering us again and again with useless updates that move around our apps and change our settings?! Does Apple ever come around here and read our posts...I doubt it!
The same thing is happening to me as well.
Same here!! Very annoying. Often the popup goes away even before I’m done writing my password. I’m normally logged in to my apple ID on this phone.
