How do I disable game center in iOS 14

That worked for me - was playing Solitaire City - every time I reopened the App the Game Centre window popped up asking me to sign in. Went to settings on the game and turned the “Use Game Centre” toggle to Off no more pop up.

Interesting thing is it seemed the 14.2 update has turned that toggle back on on all games even if they were off beforehand!!

I got mine to stop - FINALLY. I enabled notifications for Game Center. Then I made sure every single setting in there was turned off individually. Then I turned off notifications again and no more pop up so far.

I found a way. You have to disable in iOS and also the individual game. Either disable syncing or disable “communicate with Game Center”. That did the trick for me. Hope it helps someone.

It’s annoying but just sign out of game centre. It will continue to pop up prompting you to sign in when you start your game.

Just select “cancel” each time it does this and apparently after four times it will stop.

That didn’t work for me. I selected “the not me” option. That seems to have killed it.

Once again. Just click on cancel each time it pops up. After three or four times it will stop.

As in Vietnam, we dont have the game center service and it keep popping up, very annoying and I cant turn it off. Please advise how to turn this off. Thanks

I had Game Center disabled before upgrading to 14.0.1. However, Game Center started popping up asking for a sign in every time I opened one game. This seemed to fix it: Go into settings and find Game Center. (Toggle was off) Press the toggle to turn it on. It asked if I wanted to sign in with my Apple ID. I hit cancel. Toggle went back off. No more Game Center notification so far.

Agreed--I hate it. I never use it. It's just an annoying popup every time I open a game. If I get signed out, I can't even open the game without a full screen telling me to sign in. I DO NOT WANT game center, I have NEVER wanted game center, why can't I get rid of it?

I'd like to be able to remove game center from IOS 14 entirely so my son doesn't have a million things to distract himself with during remote class time. Our district wasn't able to supply us with devices. I've blocked everything else. I'm quite angry about it. I purchased the device for my child's education and now it feels like they're putting profits over the wellbeing of kids. Come on Apple. It simply shouldn't be this hard.
