Option for user to turn off notification of clipboard (one app pasted from another app)

Apple get off your *** and fix this problem. This message thread goes back to at least September. I am watching my fire fox browser “fire fox paste it from notes” message pop up every four seconds. How many months does it take you to fix this bug????? Stop giving people “features“ that they don't ask for, it make it possible to turn the idiot messages off.

Came here like everyone else to figure out how to turn off this annoying feature. Brand new phone 12 max pro and yet get a copy and paste notification every time. Remove this if you want to maintain customers. Thanks

That's exactly why I'm not upgrading to the 12. More updates for more products to spend more cash, and even though I have filed 2 problems with iOS 14 with Apple Engineers (the second being that "Optimized Battery Charging" comes on by default after every restart 🤦🏻‍♀️), their response was...we agree, but oh well.

Exactly! Annoying me every single time that I want to see or paste on the search bar of a browser. And this is what I mostly do with my iPhone, except the phone part!

Why shouldn’t I be able to deactivate it? Why should I so be annoyed to curse every time this happens?

I’m considering downgrading to iOS 13, if there is a way.

Besides it being annoying and disruptive, it has turned my iPhone X from an otherwise very fast device into an extremely frustrating, and slow piece of glass... It made copy and paste almost unusable! We REALLY need an option to turn this off!

People keep saying apple doesn't monitor this n to complain right to them, how? Where? Has anyone tried? And if this is apple support why aren't they monitoring it in order to improve customer satisfaction?

i tried to follow this advice: After researching it, all i could find to do to disable continuity for universal clipboard was to turn off Handoff under Settings/General. I did that. But these horrible notifications still pop up right in the search bar. What should i do next? Please be very specific with step by step instructions. Thanks, Anna

No describing how annoying Apple is with their childish forced items which appear to treat people older with obviously more education like we are ignorant children.

Please stop tripping over your own need to expand your work to fill the time in which you have to do it. Complete waste.

Has this been resolved, or is apple shoving another app on us (Universal Clipboard) in order to make up for one of the dumbest things I have ever seen a software do? There is no reason I need to see a small drop down every single time I copy/paste between apps. Why does this company continue to go backward?

I don’t use Handoff on my phone. If it’s turned off, is there another way of removing this annoying ‘feature’? Next update, consider removing the pop up, or move the pop up out of the address bar area which is an inefficient location for it to appear.

This post is really unhelpful because it confuses the issue. Anyone who is using iOS 14+ will I understand the issue immediately. The unnecessary notification about where you are pasting from is very annoying and I agree with all the users requesting the ability to disable it. When companies like Apple and Amazon etc. don't give the ability to disable "features" it gives the impression that they are treating their users like little children who don't know what's good for them.

Does anyone use Safari and if so, does it still happen?! )My current paranoid fantasy is that Apple set it up to act like this when we post from Chrome, to try to annoy us into switching to Safari. it won’t work— instead it is more likely to prod multitudes of users to switch to Android devices. ...

This happens on my iPhone and I am copy and pasting between APPS, same as before the iOS upgrade. I am NOT doing things between devices, nor would I want to.

Handoff is turned off already on my iPhone. What other methods do you have to disable this obnoxious "feature"?

When I switch to an App, say Google search, sometimes I get a cascade of 2, 3, . . . , 8, or 9 banners at the top of my screen indicating pastes coming from various apps. I have no idea why, but it sure wastes time and attention.
