ios 14 landscape mode not working

As of right now, as long as you have a widget on your home screen, it will not rotate. Take the widget off and you'll see it rotate. This will probably be addressed in following updates.

This is incredible! I LOVE my iPhone 7Plus because I can rotate the screen -- and now with even just 1 small widget on just one page-- that feature is GONE! Hopefully this will be changed in later updates to iOS 14.x -- I've removed all widgets (except in the "Today View" page – that page is called that is to the left of the "main" icon page).

And I can see that being a fairly complex "fix" -- since there are 3 sizes of home-page widgets (2x2= 4 icons, 2x4=8 icons and 4x4=16 icons) -- Moving into landscape mode would cause widgets not to fit and to be moved to a new page -- then going back to portrait view…

Well for now my widgets are on the "Today View" page ONLY!

Definitely irritating. Removed all the widgets from all of the screens and the issue is resolved. Thank you all for that. But that's why i like my phone. Actually this is why i bought my phone. Apple resolves this bug soon.

I had the same problem and was completely frustrated so I actually just powered down the phone and then turned it back on and the problem was fixed. I know, simple right, but sometimes in our frustration we are looking for a complicated solution when there’s an easy fix. Good luck, I hope this works for you!

Update. After trying many things, I just opened FB live holding the phone in landscape mode and it opened in portrait -- but here's the temporary fix that worked for me - even with widgets.

I double-clicked the home page twice as if I were going to close down the app and the FB Live screen corrected itself. I replicated this and it worked each time. Now, 10 minutes later and several tries at this, it is working simply by turning the phone. VERY STRANGE!

It's iOS 14. Same thing is happening on 8+. The ”plus” and ”max” versions are showing issues, but who knows if they actually designed that way... It's been tested that takin off the widget brings back the ability to put it into landscape mode. Restart the phone after removing the widget and try it out.

I have iPhone 6s Plus and screen ok rotates but as soon as I add a widget or even a folder with apps in same thing

Removing all the widgets and restarting the phone still does not fix the Facebook landscape mode in iOS 14.0.1. FaceBook starts as if it is going to go into landscape mode but does not open up to it. So when I touch the app, I am holding the phone in landscape mode. The "F" of the app appears for a second in landscape mode but then opens in portrait mode.

This is happening to me also. What’s more when I try to sign in using my finger print it sometimes doesn’t work since the update. Fb videos are out of sync with the audio. My battery gets flat so easily and the wifi keeps dropping off on my phone. I hv an iPhone 6s

This bug is inexcusable. It would be one of the first things QA should test. Unbelievable. I find it almost as infuriating as how bad Siri works. If you wanna call it working. Unless I talk like a robot at 1/4 my normal speed of speaking Siri can’t make heads or tails out of almost anything I say. Often it gets the sentence right and then when I escaped Siri it changes everything around into something unintelligible. Android has had this working great for years. Apple needs to fix their crappy software.

I have no widgets anywhere and the landscape mode still doesn't work. So annoying. As others have said, this seems so elementary that this bug wasn't caught before release. Any suggestions on how to work around this issue until the bug fix is released? BTW this is 10X Max.

So am on update 14 on my iPhone and I need help on my rotation on my phone since I have it I can’t rotate it and the portrait it’s off but still dosent rotate I reseted my setting and did everything I could but nothing I went into apps and games still nothing idk how to fix it can u guys like help me please

It didn't work for me. Is it for iOS14 or for iPhone 11 and 11 pro/max?
