Why does my iPhone screen have a red dot in iOS 14?

After updating to IOS 14, my Iphone 8 a red dot will appear on the top right of the screen while making call. It is clearly not orange/yellow color.I had compare with my another Iphone 7, while making call a yellow/orange dot did show on the top right of the screen.

May I know what happen to my Iphone 8? Further question is I could not switch on the tracking service on my iphone that appear in the privacy.

When making and receiving phone calls, I get the RED dot in front of the battery symbol/% symbol, and since that appeared, after the iOS14 update, I can no longer hear callers unless I put it on Speaker. I have gone through every setting and found no way to remedy this. Can someone who KNOWS how to fix this RED dot issue p-l-e-a-s-e help. I don't want to put my phone on soeaker to hear calls.

Your phone can sync contacts from different sources. Each source is called a “group”. When you tap on Groups you can see what contact groups you have on your phone.

It means your microphone is on. The dot is normally orange, but with some background color schemes it appears red.

It’s been stated here so many times but here we go again.....you don’t want to see the red dot that indicates the mic is being used? Don’t use the mic. Simples!

I have same thing but it only shows up when I am on the phone with someone. Could it be Proximity locator? If so then no need to worry cause it’s safe.

I have the same issue with the orange dot at top right. However, I don't have a call recorder set up as I was just making a normal call. Is my calls being recorded?

No. As has been said dozens of times in this thread, an orange or red dot ONLY means that the MICROPHONE IS ON. It has no other meaning. It has nothing to do with recording.
