Apple News widget’s Top Stories & Trending feeds will not populate.
I have deleted the widget and reinstalled it repeatedly and the Top News & Trending feeds remain blank. Topic works fine.

It sounds like you’ve done some good troubleshooting so far. If you haven’t already, try removing the widget, force closing the News app, restarting your iPhone, and then adding the widget back. These articles can help:

If that doesn’t help, update your iPhone to iOS 14.0.1 and test again:
