Mail email addresses pop-up hidden under keyboard when entering an email in bcc field

When writing an email, if you start to enter someone’s email address in the to, cc or bcc fields a list of email addresses pops up and you can usually just select the email address you need - no need to type out the full email address.

However when I now begin to type an email address into the bcc field, with the ipad in landscape orientation, the pop up list of email addresses is hidden under the keyboard and I cannot access it. See pic.

I am using ios 13.7.

It works fine when the ipad is in portrait mode.

Seems so unusual for Apple to allow such a design flaw? Is there a solution I am missing?

If you haven't already done so, we would like to have your force quit the app using the steps here: How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
