Knowing how and when you are under a zero day/malware attack

I have PDF photos of my iPhone 10, AirPort Extreme Router with firmware 7.9.1, MacPro 3,1 with El Capitan OS X, MacPro 5,1 westmere 12-core dual 3.46 ghz processors with macOS 10.14.6 Mojave, wife’s MacBook Air with High Sierra were on even ground being attacked and router Ethernet ports burned up with migration assistance hijacking my data.

I develop software and have done so for decades. With the latest changes to the logging system, the logs are so incredibly verbose that they are useless for general problem solving. That is why my original recommendation still stands:


DO Not go looking in the logs, unless you are looking for something VERY Specific. It will make you crazy.


If you are having repeatable symptoms that translate into day to day problems operating your computer, post the symptoms.

Almost 80% of these log files discovered on desktops, iPhone analytics are not terribly difficult to read compared to PC computers running windows as I remembered 3rd party software developers didn’t have to conform as strictly as Apple software developers do to the source code.... I wish Apple or some group would release a program to cut the time down deciphering key code such as ‘Block and evoke’ and newer exceptions like Argo? I tried contacting tech support and was almost yelled at for another colleague pretended to ask for advice to my questions and dropped the ball on the technician who realized she had hung up leaving me with the rather agitated rep with my questions... I almost lost my patience and almost told myself this passive aggression should not be used on myself considering my whole house is Apple Branded....

You can’t say your log or other reports on how your Mac or iPhone is behaving doesn’t make you want to solve your issues ? I only wish I had more information ie experience with coding... my only other experience coding was with my Texas Instruments TI99/4a with TI basic and extended basic with 256k expansion box in 1981. I would love to hear another individual’s approach to problems like I’m having and I would be the first to admit I feel somewhat slow solving my problems code related... advice is appreciated!
