pages

Hi everyone! I am having trouble when indenting bullet points on pages. Sometimes, the indent is 0.5in (when creating subcategories on bullet points, I like to return and tab), but other times when I tab it is far less than 0.5in. I am wondering how to standardize it for all my future documents to have a bullet point tab be equal to 0.5in? Not quite sure why the other length is happening sometimes. Thanks!
