Straight, vector-style lines jutting off in different directions while drawing with Gen 2 Pencil/4th gen iPad Pro 12.9

Sometimes, while painting in Procreate with the Apple Pencil, straight lines will be fired off in different directions — usually horizontally. Sometimes they seem to try to connect up with where my palm is resting, while other times they head the opposite direction as far as the edge of the screen. I have attached a screenshot of an occasion when this type of line was created while I was shading in a vertical motion. I drew a yellow circle around the unwanted line that unexpectedly appeared.

I’m finding that, for the time being, it helps to turn Bluetooth off and then back on. Other times, it seems like I have to restart the iPad, but usually after doing one of these things I can work for several hours without being interrupted by this again. I don’t know if this is a hardware or software issue. If it is software, I also do not know if it is a problem with Procreate or with iPadOS 14, because I seriously can only make time for Procreate right now.
