I LOVE the Message Pin feature in iOS 14!!! However, I'm running into this issue...
I have 6 messages pinned, 2 group messages and 4 individuals. Every time I close my Messaging app and reopen it back up, one of the group messages is unpinned! It's always the same one. Sometimes when I go to add it back in, when I click "Done" it will disappear again. I reset my phone, which did not help.

I have this same issue, a combination of individual & group messages. For individual pins, I am able to pin both iMessage & non-iMessage users. However, for group messages, I am only able to pin those that are all iMessage users. If a group has some non-iMessage users (e.g., Android), I notice that I am not able to pin those group messages.
Pay attention is not enough obviously. Problem is here since iOS 14 was released and no fix since then. I love my iPhone and not going to switch to anything else but this little bugs makes so big inconveniences. iOS 14 is not stable in general. Sad
Two of my 6 pins just disappeared this morning. When I do a search for them they don’t even show up in the list. The really weird thing is that I figured out that one of the missing pins now shows up as someone else, and that someone else’s messages still come through too under their own name and picture. Sometimes I can tell by context who is sending the message but not always. I’ve power cycled my phone a couple of times. I’ve also closed all of my open apps but this is driving me crazy! Any suggestions would most welcome.
I’m still having the same issue! It comes and goes with each reboot. Today it took three reboots to get it back. To make it worse when you think unpinning it and will put the pals back good luck. Each time you try to delete the group and start over it keeps asking if you want to delete no matter how many times. Why is 14.3.1 not out yet!!!
i had powered my phone off today and when I turned it back on three out of my six pined people were gone and the whole conversation was deleted so as people were saying update it so I did and it and it’s still gone Someone help
Unfortunately I don’t think there is any way any of us can tell you how to have the conversations stay pinned because we are having the same issues. But I suspect if you start a new text to some of the people whose streams have disappeared you might find that they reappear even if their pins themselves will not remain in place.
I just got a new 12 pro max and 14.4 iOS now. Since I had it I have some problem with message which I can read it but just a few second later the message is disappeared. This happened only in certain people.
Not me. I used to have a problem with a group of about 8 people, mixed Android and iPhone users. But now I have a problem with a group of 2 iPhone users. Once in a while it will just disappear but I can repin it. No rhyme or reason why it will disappear
Consistently unpins one group. Others seem to stay ok. Both groups contain a mix of Android and apple users.
No, it is a mix of iPhone and Android users. But the other group that stays pinned is the same, so I don’t think that is the cause

My pinned messages all of them eventually disappear and return to the list of messages
I’ve noticed that too. The pinned convos that keep disappearing all contain non-Apple users, though I’m not sure if that’s the cause of the bug.

I am having the same problem. Idk about you but the group message does include an android phone user. Could this be the problem?
